Born on 15 May 1979 in Bad Mergentheim; Roman Catholic; married with 3 children.
1998: ‘Abitur’ university entrance qualification at Matthias-Grünewald-Gymnasium in Tauberbischofsheim; From 1998 until 2002: Studied law at Heidelberg University;
2003: First state examination in law, then legal internship at Mosbach Regional Court;
2005: Second state examination in law.
From 2006: Admission as a lawyer and roles in medium-sized law firms.
From 1999 until 2014: Member of the Junge Union (youth wing of the CDU); Since 2000: Member of the CDU; From 2006 until 2014: Deputy Federal Chair of the Junge Union; Member of the regional executive committee for CDU Nordwürttemberg; Member of the district executive committee for CDU Main-Tauber; Member of the federal executive committee of the Frauen Union (women’s union) of the CDU in Germany; Chair of the CDU federal committee for internal security; Since 2023: Secretary General of the CDU in Baden-Württemberg.
From 2015 until 2023: President of the THW regional association for Baden-Württemberg.
From 2004 until 2024: Member of Tauberbischofsheim town council; From 2014 until 2019: Member of the district council for the Main-Tauber district.
From 2013 until 2017 and since 2018: Member of the German Bundestag.
Since 6 May 2025: Federal Minister of Health.
