Curriculum vitae

Born on 4 March 1975 in Ilmenau; married.

1993: ‘Abitur’ university entrance qualification; Military service; Studied law at Jena, Halle and Lyon universalities; First and Second state examination in law; Scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Subsequently worked as a business lawyer and in-house legal counsel and held leadership positions within the legislative and the executive (including the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Economics and Science).

From 1993 until 2012: Member of the Junge Union (youth wing of the CDU); Since 1995: Member of the CDU; From 2008 until 2012: Chair of the mediation court of the Junge Union of Germany; From 2001 until 2003: Land Chair of the Ring Christlich-Demokratischer Studenten – RCDS (Association of Christian Democratic Students) of Saxony-Anhalt; From 2012 until 2015: Chair of the Landesarbeitskreis Christlich-Demokratischer Juristen – LACDJ (State Working Committee of Christian-Democrat Lawyers) of Saxony-Anhalt; Since 2004: Member of the CDU district executive committee of Magdeburg; Since 2010: Deputy chair of the CDU district executive committee of Magdeburg; Member of the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion der CDU (the SME and Business Organisation of the CDU); Member of the German Mittelstand parliamentary group.

Since 2013: Member of the German Bundestag.

Since 7 May 2025: Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Health.
